Climbing

The Roche des Foyères site is situated near the hamlet of Fontaine.

Facing south east, this easy climbing area is well placed from the first sunny days of spring until late autumn. It is also nicely shaded during the afternoon in summer.

This gneiss cliff offers around 30 climbing routes from 4c to 6b+, in several sectors.

Located between 1240 and 1370 meters above sea level, the Roche des Foyères also offers 2 superb long routes of 4 and 6 lengths, respectively in 6b+ and 6a+.

Between a pine forest and a spruce forest, the Roche des Foyères offers a unique setting in the Tarentaise valley. A very rich vegetation will impress any botanist !

A climbing guide book is available at the MMN (price: 3 euros).
